The inclusion of overly sexualised female
leads and prostitutes could have been controversial to some audiences, even
evoking some negative feedback as, unlike with the novel, the audience may not
have expected the overt display of nudity and prostitution and such; readers know
what to expect before buying and reading it by flicking through.
