The inclusions that liken Marv to a hero
highlight his role as the Anti-Hero, made to appear good in comparison to the actions
of the worse characters like Kevin; the audience begin to sympathise with him
and almost root for him. Marv is made good by not being the worst and the hints
towards superheroes alongside his superhuman abilities hint towards the underlying
subject Miller is exploring; Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. This translates
well to the screen as this fact perhaps becomes more obvious with the help of
body language and such that cannot be conveyed on page.
